Problem is that people is not really not aware about it. Its duty of Government to create awareness among the people and create some interest in recycling.

Now a days people's are in mechanical life. They have more work. They spend more time in office and more time in having fun. So, they really feel bad to recycle the waste things.

I think some people are very rich so they don't want get their image down by recycling and some people are not aware of recycling. They simply think that it is waste of time.

I think people may be lazy to recycle or else they may think that it is not worthable to do recycling. If they started to make good money in recycling then every one in this world will definitely start recycling.

I live in India. In my country people they don't recycle the waste products because most of the people in my country are not aware about this matter. I think government must immediately take steps to create a awareness among the people about the recycling.

I think the reason is that most of the people were not aware about the recycling method and their benifits, so we cant blame that everyone are lazy.
So,I think first government must conduct some awareness program among the people to educate them about the recycling and their benefits.

I can tell you why people do not recycle in Romania. We all are aware of all the recycling programs in our town, they are promoted everywhere, stuff like "2 tons of recycled paper save one tree", "Stop earth pollution by recycling plastic bottles" and so on..
But people don't have time for recycling, we all have a busy life full of stress. We don't have time to separate plastic bottles from paper and from biogarbage. We are faar to commod to do it.

I think they not extending the life of a landfill and they not making a contribution towards a better environment

the reason behind why people do not recycle because they just don't care. we come up with reason's why not to recycle. we always leave this kinda of things to our government. even if it is a morale responsibility.

arcel, people do care, but are faar to busy to do something in order to show how much they care. Every one of us thinks at least once a day about how he could contribute to the recycling process, the stress is the main factor which stops them from acting..
